John Koepke
is a Partner with Red Chalk Group, LLC and has 10 years of experience serving senior executives and investment professionals address their most urgent and critical intellectual property related issues. Prior to founding Red Chalk Group, John’s intellectual property experience includes serving as Executive Vice President, Consulting Services for ipIQ (now The Patent Board), an intellectual property professional services firm, and launching Maxiam, LLC, the intellectual asset management consulting unit of the premier IP litigation firm, Howrey, LLP.
Previously, John spent 6 years building three early stage companies including IndustrialAmerica, (a venture of Internet Capital Group and MSC Industrial Direct), yourPharmacy.com, Inc., (a subsidiary of Express Scripts, Inc.) and Delray Farms, LLC, (a privately funded, retail start-up).
Prior to his early-stage experience, John spent 6 years as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., Inc. John received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Raymond Zenkich is a Partner with Red Chalk Group, LLC and has over 13 years of experience serving senior executives and investment professionals. Prior to founding Red Chalk Group, Raymond’s intellectual property experience included serving as Vice President (Partner) of Consulting Services for ipIQ (now The Patent Board), an intellectual property professional services firm, and filing his own US patent.
Previously, Raymond spent 5 years with McKinsey & Company where he served as strategic counselor to senior IT and business leaders within the financial services industry, addressing a wide range of business and technology issues. Raymond’s early career began with Accenture (previously Andersen Consulting) where he led multiple full life-cycle application development projects for financial institutions across their back, middle, and front offices and risk, finance, and IT functions.
Raymond received a Masters in Science from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University.
Andrew Hein is a Managing Director and the General Counsel of Red Chalk Group, LLC and has nine years of experience in the intellectual property and legal fields. He has advised clients in several industries, including the chemical, print, pharmaceutical, software, medical device, trading, brokerage, hedge fund, steel, law firm, airline, insurance, hospitality, retail, and food and beverage industries. Prior to joining Red Chalk Group, Andy worked as an attorney in Sidley Austin LLP’s patent litigation group. Before that, Andy also worked as an attorney with Grippo & Elden LLC, a litigation boutique, and as an attorney in the finance and litigation groups at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Andy was a patent clerk for the McIntyre, Harbin & King LLP firm, where he helped prosecute patents and assisted with patent litigation.
Andy earned his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center, Magna Cum Laude, Order of the Coif honors, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Trine University, High Honors.
Nick Stabinsky is a Managing Director of Red Chalk Group's Transaction Services practice, and has deep experience serving intellectual property senior executives in numerous Fortune 1000 companies. Previously, Nick led consulting services at a boutique intellectual property consulting firm focusing on competitive intelligence, portfolio evaluations, and M&A. Nick also held technical and business development positions with a systems engineering company.
Nick has a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from the MIPLC, a joint program with the George Washington University School of Law, University of Augsburg, and the Max-Planck Institute, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Kouresh Parsa serves as a Technical Consultant with Red Chalk Group, LLC. Dr. Parsa has over 19 years of experience in the field of wireless communications, with over a decade at the cutting edge of the wireless industry, inventing numerous technologies in the field of wireless data and WCDMA.
His wireless career began in 1990 at RAM Mobile Data as manager of data systems engineering wherein he oversaw the system planning and dimensioning of the Mobitex Packet Radio System. As Interim Chief Executive Officer and VP of Technology and Standards, Dr. Parsa led the success of Golden Bridge Technology (GBT) in globalization of Common Packet Technology as part of UMTS (Universal Mobile Terrestrial System). Specifically he originated and co-invented The Common Packet Channel Technology and managed the process of acceptance of this technology as part of the UMTS standard.
Dr. Parsa was also one of the chief architects of the Wideband Packet CDMA RTT, which was jointly submitted to International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in January of 1999 by American Standard bodies, TR46.1 and T1P1.5 which was subsequently merged into the European ETSI and Japanese ARIB proposals. Additionally, he worked with the R&D division at InterDigital, where he was involved with Broadband CDMA technology innovation. Additionally, as a Member of Technical Staff at NYNEX Science and Technology, he was involved with IS95 and GSM system research.
Dr. Parsa has published and presented more than 30 technical papers in the field of Packet Radio, WCDMA, and mobile communications. He holds 18 issued patents in the field of wireless communications and has been frequently invited to speak at industry forums, corporate clients and universities. Dr. Parsa has taught wireless courses at New Haven University, Bridgeport University and City College of New York.
